Dr. Heidemanns Dornfelder is a fruity red wine cultivated in the vineyards of Rheinhessen (Rhine-Hesse), Germany's largest winegrowing region. This red wine has a fruity, easy drinking style, comparable to German white wines.

Character of the wine: Dr. Heidemanns Dornfelder has a taste characterized by intense fruity aromas of cherries and plums. It is a medium-bodied young red wine of low alcohol content with an excellent up-front fruity flavor that lingers on the palate.

Food affinities: Dr. Heidemanns Dornfelder complements a large variety of foods such as salads, lamb, fish and red meats. It can also be drunk on its own. For best taste this red wine should be served slightly chilled, like a white wine.
